ENERIS SPORTS IMPACT FOUNDATION PROVIDES EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOCIOECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED YOUTH TO PARTICIPATE IN ELITE, COMPETITIVE, TRAVEL SPORTS.
With the growing popularity of club & travel sports, there’s finally a resource to help fund the exorbitant costs for young athletes who might not otherwise be able to afford the opportunity.
the challenge
In recent years, there has been a departure from recreational sports, and a significant increase in youth travel leagues, showcases and tournaments. Participation in travel programs - also known as club sports - can be very beneficial for young athletes, resulting in skills development, higher learning opportunities, and positive social development alike. However, the popularity of travel sports also comes with challenges - including the notable financial burden of travel expenses, sports equipment, team fees, and tournament costs.
Given the high participation costs, the rise of travel sports programs has unfortunately resulted in a new youth-sports-ecosystem that robs many talented athletes from socially or financially disadvantaged households of the opportunity to participate.
OUR SOLUTION
ENERIS SPORTS IMPACT FOUNDATION provides athletic scholarships for travel sports, helping to ensure a wider variety of talented young athletes have the opportunity to benefit from the development and exposure associated with participation in club leagues.
OUR IMPACT
By alleviating financial barriers, ESIF-supported athletes will have an opportunity to develop their skills, foster teamwork, and gain valuable experiences through travel and competitive play. By promoting inclusivity and support, we strive to help more athletes reach their full potential and enjoy the lifelong benefits of sports involvement.
